I am the grandmother of a 3 year old boy and 5 year old girl. I received custody over a year ago from the two fathers and the mother (my daughter). My daughter is a bipolar/schizophrenic girl who when on meds was tolerable but now has been off her meds all year. She has absolutely lost her mind now believe the make believe thoughts she comes up with. She got kicked out of her appt and stupid me, let her live with me knowing this would not be a good thing, but i wanted her to get help.
She has now subjected my 5 year old granddaughter to her dilusions and filmed her on my bed showing with dolls that i molested her. My heart is just broken. The children are now staying with my mother and i may have no contact with them until the forensic testing in a few days.
Being she is only 5 this may not go well at all and I do not know anymore what to expect. I am in search of advice and I hate to ask, but money for a good lawyer. It is very complicated and just so sad in every way you can look at it.
I have been the two kids security blanket since birth. They have lived with me for over 2.5 years now and to now have them taken away "for their safety" is just.......heartbreaking for me. I cannot stop crying.
I realize that DCF is doing their job, but after having DCF in my life for a long time, wouldnt you think they would call the person I know? Hardly, they send a new one who makes the decision they should not be home.

I'm a single mother of three fighting for my babies. I allowed my exhusband to run me through the ringer for years, when I finally left he tricked me into making him Primary Custodian of our wonderful three children. I had to move away for work in this terrible economy and now he won't send them to me for the summers and every other holiday. I need to fight him but can't do it without an attorney. Ever since she was a teen, she worked very hard for everything she ever had. Nothing was ever given to her. As years went by she raised 2 children by herself and did an awesome job. Nothing we ever had was new, but what we had was well cared for. She remarried sometime after the death of her first husband, and then sadly lost her new husband to alcoholism, and he too passed on. Some years later she lost her son in a homicide/suicide, not long after the birth of her first grandchild. Then her mother passed away after a long battle with cancer. Financially she struggled, and struggled hard for many years, sometimes barely affording food or medicines for herself when she had to have them. Makes me cry thinking how she use to hand-scrub floors for people for 2-3 hours a day after school and handed 50 cents for her work, and at times that money was expected to be handed over to her family to help with bills.
Several years ago her brother placed her on his bank account in the event that something should ever happen to him. A few years later she was facing financial difficulties beyond anything she ever could have imagined. Her significant other had passed away after years of fighting several illnesses and he left her with huge bills. Her daughter had been tending to her brothers while she was at work. One brother needed transportation to and from chemo and radiation treatments and her daughter's car was becoming unreliable. So her brother who she was on the account with told her to take less than half of his account. Exact orders were for her to get her daughter a reliable vehicle that would last at a reasonable price and for her to take care of the bills she was heading into collection with. They agreed and she went to the bank and took out the money. The car was purchased, and the bills were taken care of and there was still money left over. However, as this poor woman's life has shown, troubles were lurking in the eaves, and no one could have ever expected this. Her brother whom she was on the account with had fallen ill and ended up hospitalized. He contracted a staph infection while in the hospital and due to diabetic complications and the staph, lost his leg just below the knee. He ended up being placed in a nursing home, and an elder attorney got involved. She was made to consolidate all his assets into one account, and she was ordered NOT to spend any of his money unless told so by the attorney, which she did not.
Her other brother with cancer is now hopitalized and ontop of his cancer was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. The end of his life will be very soon as narated by his doctor's.
A call came in from the nursing home where her other brother is and said there is now a problem with him staying there, thanks to medicaid. The money her brother gave to her is expected to be paid to the nursing home or he is going to be asked to leave there. She contacted her brother's attorney who was able to colaborate on what the nursing home said. The nursing home basically made this woman out as a theif. She would never steal a thing from anyone. She did exactly what she was told, followed the rules, and it seems there were other rules in place she was not made aware of and now owes a huge sum of money, and can not repay the nursing home, and she is overwhelmed with the fact that her brother who desperately needs the care of the nursing home, may in fact may be removed and not get the care he needs.
I am begging for someone with some financial stability to please help my mother and her family. She is agood woman who has lived a life of hell, and doesn't deserve to have this on her plate on top of everything else she is going through. Everything I have placed in this letter can be verified and I'm willing to show proof of everything I have placed in this letter. I am also willing to speak personally to anyone who can help and explain details of any other information they may need or want. I can't even help my mother, because I have been doing in kind work taking care of her brothers and I too am financially strapped and can't even afford a birthday for my 7 year old.

I am a 46 year old female going back to school to work toward my law degree. I have worked in lawfirms off and on for over 20 years. I also owned my own business for seven years. I am rebuilding my life after a sad divorce that nearly destroyed me emotionally, mentally, physically and financially. I can now breath again, striving to get where I have always wanted to be.
I am currently enrolled full-time at a two year college at Eastern Oklahoma State College, carrying 18 semester hours. I received a $50.00 scholarship and I have a friend that is helping me this semester but I am in need of more financial help to continue on with my quest. My vehicle is 19 years old with 270,000 miles and I am in need of a newer vehicle with good gas mileage. I drive a lot every day back and forth to school. I borrow a computer and need one of my own and I am in need of financial assistance with tuition, computer expenses, living expenses, gas, etc.
I am trying very hard to make my dream come true. My dream is to be a criminal defense trial attorney and a personal injury attorney. I would then like to give back to society by taking elderly cases pro-bono.

I am a 44 year old female currently enrolled in The University of Phoenix online . I am taking Criminal Justice in hopes of becoming an attorney. My 22 year old son (only child) committed suicide in June of 2006. I decided that if my son had to die in order for me to wake up and become someone who would be remembered for what I did in life not what I had not done. My son owned and operated a computer repair and sales business for five years. He had also been in the Marines. Mark was an Eagle Scout and in advanced classes. The reason I chose online classes was because of my sons passion for computers. THe reason I chose Criminal Justice was because I had been living on the wrong side of the law and wanted to give something possitive back to the world. Hello, my name is Barbara D. and I am in desperate need to save my daughter. The situation is that because I do not have the financial resource to fight a child custody with proper legal representation, my daughter contiunes to live with an abusive/negletful father. My child has already recieved a black eye at the age of 4 from her father, the court refuses to listen. My case has turned into such a mess, some of it due to the fact I was acting pro se. I have contacted many attorney(well over 100) to help me, but only results in them wanting to get paid. I have found an attorney who is willing to help me at the very least to get me off supervised visitations with my daughter. I was place on supervised visits without a hearing and a result of my reporting what I thought was best. To report to the court what had occurred to my daughter. I have never been accused or even alledge of neglect or harmful to my daughter. Please I am asking for help..... I am a mom to 2 daughters who are not in school yet. I would add a pic but afraid someone my husband knows would see this and then I would be in deep trouble.
I am 39 years old and have been married almost 7 years. When I married my husband, I was so happy and had only the highest hopes for our family.
A few months after we married, I discovered he has a drinking and gambling problem. He subsequently became very abusive towards us. It became physical during my 2nd pregnancy. I have been working on "fixing" our marriage for years but have finally realized he does not have a good heart and nothing I can do will help.
I am afraid he will kill me when I try to leave but know it's our only chance at a safe future... I am also very concerned about his overtly-sexual behavior towards our daughters.
He has control over all the money ~ he would never put my name on the bank accounts and won't even let me see what we have in the bank. I make small amounts of money from odd jobs and am looking for more secure employment.
I know that I need to leave but I have no money. I need an attorney and a small amount to reloacte if necessary. I'm worried about the attorney most of all because he has told me repeatedly that if I try to leave him, he will ruin me and take the children. I believe he will try because he has destroyed my property out of anger when I don't do what he wants.
